PHOTOGRAPHING LANGEBAAN LAGOON
I did three photographic sessions to the Langebaan lagoon on the West Coast of South Africa. Before each session I monitored the weather patterns especially the wind, clouds and moon phases.
It was important to have as little wind as possible as I was looking for smooth water surface to be able to do some minimalistic images seeing that I visualized a few outcomes. I specifically wanted some black and white images and for that I needed dramatic skies. Then If the skies were clear I wanted to capture a few night images with stars reflecting in the lake. The jetty with house boats and flamingos were subject matters.
